Amsterdam Light Festival 2013 “Building with Light”
The Call For Concepts for the 2013 edition of the Amsterdam Light Festival is OPEN until April 23, 2013.
The Amsterdam Light Festival invites artists, light designers, architects, designers from other disciplines and performers to submit proposals for light installations, illumination of bridges and buildings, architectural lighting and community art projects for the public space in downtown Amsterdam. The central theme is “Building with Light”. Contributors are invited to develop their own vision on this central theme.《2013年阿姆斯特丹光影節》邀請所有的藝術家、設計師、燈光設計、建築師、與表演者，特別為阿姆斯特丹市中心的公共區域打造獨特的燈光裝置、橋樑與建築照明、社區藝術照明等。2013阿姆斯特丹光影節此次的燈光徵件主題為「光的建造(Building with Light)」！
THE FESTIVAL 關於阿姆斯特丹光影節
The Amsterdam Light Festival is an annual cultural festival in which the central theme is the interplay of light and water. 阿姆斯特丹光影節是一項每年都會舉辦的文化藝術節，其主題圍繞在光影與水之間所產生的相映作用。It takes place in the winter, specifically in December and January. The festival provides national and international artists and designers (both young and established) with the opportunity to “built with light’ in downtown Amsterdam, where the unique combination of light and water, and a UNESCO World Heritage backdrop, creates a scenery that is ideal for a light festival.
The festival is organized for and with the people of Amsterdam, and for the many (inter) national visitors to this attractive metropolis. The festival also aims to support the creative industry, social involvement, innovation, sustainability and economic progress. It aims to underline the fact that Amsterdam is an innovative and creative city, well worth a visit during the winter months. The festival was established as a private initiative, but is receiving support from and is collaborating closely with the municipality, corporations, educational institutions, the creative industry, and city residents.
AMSTERDAM LIGHT FESTIVAL 2013/14 《2013-14年阿姆斯特丹光影節》
In 2013, the festival will have an extended Water-route, which apart from the Amstel river, will also cross canals in the downtown area. Throughout the entire festival period, the audience can see and experience installations from their boats. The Illuminade remains an essential part of the festival. During the Illuminade, visitors are able to view light artworks at various locations for a period of three weeks. A walking route all about light artists and light as a form of art. 這次2013年的活動將會擴大水路的範圍，除了阿姆斯特河以外，還會利用各個市中心裡的運河河道。在整個活動期間，觀眾們都可以乘船觀賞沿路燈光裝置。步行路線The Illuminade依然是這個藝術節極重要的部分，這項為期三周的活動期間，遊客皆可於各個不同的地點欣賞到這些作品。一個步行路線也將被規畫出來，將介紹這些燈光設計師以及他們的作品。
The Water route is open from November 28, 2013 until January 19th, 2014. The Illuminade will open on December 12 and close on January 5, 2014. Please see the website for up-to-date information concerning the festival and the Call for Concepts.
